I’m a black woman, and honestly it’s hurting me to see how much of my childhood is being ruined. I grew up loving the Disney princesses. Ariel was my favorite and to see her get changed like that made me really upset. it’s not racist to want to keep originals ORIGINAL. I don’t know why Disney and Hollywood in general feel the need to equalize everything. honestly, I hate that they’re making all these originally white characters, BLACK. it’s unnecessary. like peter pan. I loved peter pan as a kid, they didn’t have to black wash it. and there are a million white women out there that could play snow white, why the hell do they need to black wash her as well. and even the 7 dwarves. it’s ridiculous. I’m sad to see my childhood ruined like this. I never cared that all the cartoons I watched as a child were all white people. because only racist people would care about that stuff. I loved the originals. no matter what ethnicity they were. next thing you know, they’re gonna start making batman, captain America, wonder woman, joker/Harley and every other white character we loved growing up , into black people. stop backwashing.
