Here in Southeast Virginia, we got hit really bad. There was an area right by my sisters home that was badly flooded to the point that the bridge over the river was covered by the high waters and looked like it basically disappeared. Thank the lord above no one we know was hurt. Prayers to all going through this!!
My dad lived in a trailer in Black Mountain and lost the trailer, vehicles, a camper, even my mother’s ashes. He’s 80 years old. His elderly girlfriend lived in Old Fort and lost everything, too. They’re in a motel in Hickory now because I live in Morganton and still don’t have power, possibly until this weekend, we hope. Besides all this, my family got out lucky because we’re all alive. So many others are lost and missing. Please keep our area in your prayers. Life for us has changed forever #WNCStrong
