This is a huge issue during a disaster and I am glad to see it finally coming to light. I lost my home in the Butte Fire of 2015. The response was to block off the area for 10 days while the whole place was still burning. The police held roadblocks while people had to hand food and supplies over to friends, neighbors and family still in the disaster zone. If anyone left the area for any reason they were not allowed back in. There were still sheds, cars and many trees still burning for several days after the fire blazed through. I put out a few small fires myself to keep trees from falling in the road. We have a firetruck on our property but the police still would not let me back in once I passed through the roadblock to go tend to my homeless family for a day. On day eight there was a fire chief who took pity on us and escorted a group of us in to feed our animals and such. I’m still very bitter about the “disaster response”.
I was in the navy after the 04 tsunami we were in Guam loaded te ship full of supplies and were rescuing people and delivering supplies within 36 hours. The fact you can almost spit and hit Pearl Harbor and it took a month to do anything makes me 100% sure this was planned or allowed to get worse
